Vito Cannazzaro has helped with the project since 1990. As a young man, he lived and worked in Brooklyn, New York, pouring cement for some of the great buildings in that city. Although he speaks little English, we somehow communicate and understand one another. He has been a blessing to the project and has enjoyed working on the "churcha", as he would say.

In this photo, you can see Vito and young Scott Lyons. When it was taken, Vito was 84 years old and Scott was 4. Even Scott, at age 4, was able to gather a few small stones for us. This photo shows the oldest and youngest members of the workforce - a total of 88 years between them.

Special Note: After 13 years of working on the Ecce Homo Project, Vito passed away. He was born on September 1, 1911 and died on March 10, 2003 at 91 years old. He is sadly missed.
Dio infatti ha tanto amato il mondo da dare il suo Figlio unigenito, perché chiunque crede in lui non muoia, ma abbia la vita eterna.

Giovanni 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16
